Logistic Team

In the whole trip the logistics team is of vital importance. It is because we need to make sure that everything including the schedule goes on track, all challengers are safe etc. Every logistics members have their duty and we need to assist the field trip members to work on their projects. It is not easy to handle such a large group of challengers so I need to plan and think about all the possibilities that will happened in the trip in a bid to prevent  any risks. Having good communication is essential in this trip because we have to corporate with each other so that the trip can run smoothly and all the information are known by each challengers. Then there will have less trouble being created.

Reflections:

Chow Tsz Kin, Ethan

As a logistic member, I need to prepare the materials for the challengers like water, banner. Also, we need to ensure the challengers wake up in the morning as we have a tight schedule everyday. Therefore, we have to wake up earlier than others and wake the others up. This trip helps me understand the importance of logistic team as they ensure the materials that challengers need and lower the burden of other teams.

Safety Officer Team

The Safety Officer Team which is one of the Logistic Team of the Heilongjiang Challenge. The members of Safety Officer Team who ensure that all participants are following established policies and safety regulations. Safety Officers may take on additional roles and responsibilities. The safety officer is in charge of inspecting places determine. If there is hazard, we will establish procedures and policies to overcome those situation. The safety officer looks for potential hazards. For example, Safety Officer need to determine which type of personal equipment is needed such as gloves sand now jacket.

Reflections:

Lai Hung San, Edward

I was one of the Safety Officers of the Heilongjiang Challenge. The duty of this post was making sure that all participants were safe during our travelling journey. The most unforgettable things happened was a teammate who had asthma ,cannot breathe well in the outdoor area suddenly. I gave her Asthma Inhalers and took her to a warm place immediately. I am glad that I collected  the past medical history and was well-prepared for various first-aid circumstances before our trip. I reckon that some good planing and observations are really important in my job. In this tour, I learned a lot and I truly appreciated the good jobs done by other Safety Officers . I hope that we can keep on cooperating as a team in the future.
